I have gotten some of my young sims to play in the sand in Sunset Valley. Snorkeling will allow you to collect shells, but otherwise there are no shell spawners outside Isla Paradiso, so it's going to be really hard to get a good collection going.
So unless you really want to take up snorkeling as a hobby or need to cool off in the summer, there is little point. However, there really isn't anywhere to go in the ocean. Actually snorkeling works fine as well, and boats work as well. You can swim in Sunset Valley's ocean with no trouble. In fact, it seems to be a good source of income if you have money to invest in a resort no matter what the world. What I have found of Island Paradise that works well in Sunset Valley or another world is the resorts, and the build-buy catalog stuff.Īny empty residential lot can be purchased as a second home, and then converted to a resort with no problems.
